Wednesday evening, June 13, 1928. The Olympic Stadium in Amsterdam, Netherlands, was filled with thousands of spectators. They were excited to watch the Olympic football final rematch between two South American powerhouses: Uruguay and Argentina.
On the sidelines stood a linesman from a distant land in the east. He was probably unknown to the Dutch public. However, his presence was a pride for Dutch East Indies football. His name was Max Foltynski.
Foltynski wasn't alone. On the other side of the field was H. Maeck from Belgium. Meanwhile, the referee was J. Mutters from the Netherlands.
