THAT afternoon, dense clouds hung in the sky over Kota Tua, Jakarta. Fatahillah Park, which is usually jam-packed on holidays, was deserted. Two or three student tour groups huddled in front of the Jakarta History Museum. Some tourists pedaled their onthel bikes around the park; some older ones sat and chatted around the park.
